We are starting our 2nd egg donor selection process and just found out the donor has previously used the same attorney we used with our 1st egg donor cycle (that failed). She has used this lawyer 3x's and most recently in June 2014. Although the attorney said she is not considered an active client any longer, however, we still must sign a conflict of interest waiver if we proceed with this lawyer.
We are getting a $100 discount by using this same lawyer again. But she made a clerical error that cost us $500 in our previous donation cycle. She negotiated incorrectly to cover all travel expenses for a local donor that was not part of the agency contract we all signed and intially agreed too. I feel against using her again because of how she handled that but my husband is ok with it. I know it would be the easy and straightforward route by retaining the same law office.
I think i just answered my own question. But what do you think? Would you use the same attorney and sign the conflict of interest waiver knowing she screwed up in the past?
