New to the group...so many questions

HI all. I am so thankful to have found this group of knowledgable women. I am 29 and getting married this May. My finance and I knew I had premature ovarian failure from the beginning, I actually knew before I even met him (talk about ackward conversations...when do you bring it up?) He has been surrportive, understanding, and wonderful through it all. We have already started talking with a fertililty clinic about the possibility of egg donation and have done the preliminary meetings. At this point we are thinking we will be looking at a transfer late next fall. As I have gotten farther into this my head has started spinning with more and more questions. Some logistical, some ethical, some religious, some financial.

1. At our last appointment our Dr talked about the possiblity of frozen egg donation vs fresh. We didn't go into it to much but detail at that meeting but I know the cost is significantly less. What are the pro's and con's?

2. When do you plan on telling your child about their origin if ever? Open communication and relationship with the donor or not?

3. Insurance coverage. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC. Anyone had any luck on any coverage for procedures or meds?

4. Totally unrelated but anyone with premature ovarian failure have suggestions for either hormones or suppliments that help make them feel 100%? I am on oral birth control for the estrogen until the transfer but that's it.

It's a long road but I am glad to have such a great group to walk through it with.
