Sorry I haven't posted since June- work got busy and required some unexpected travels. Plus I was still on the fence about proceeding with a DE cycle even after starting my protocol. Long story short, we decided to give it shot, but it resulted in BFN. We started with 8 frozen DEs, 6 survived the thaw, and 5 fertilized with DH's frozen sp. By Day 5, we were down to 2 embryos- an early blast and a blast. We were planning to do PGS on Day 5 and then ET on Day 6, but decided against PGS since only the lead embie was suitable for biopsy. RE thought it was too risky. By Day 6, both blasts were hatching, and my RE recommended we transfer the lead embie. We considered transferring both, but we wanted to minimize the chances of a twin pregnancy. (Don't get me wrong- twins are a wonderful double blessing.. but we have a very energetic older child and I didn't think I could cope with him + twins on top of my job). We chose to transfer the lead embie, but this cycle ended in BFN. Luckily, before we froze the other embie, we decided to use PGD and it came back as normal. So, now we will proceed with a FET.
Since this is our last chance, we want to get it right so my RE recommended a test called ERA to check my lining's receiptivity- it requires a mock cycle and an endometrial biopsy tho, which means delaying the FET for another month. I've been through a RPL panel, so they've ruled out immune/blood clotting factors. I don't know what else to check, but if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Also if you think any dietary changes or alt therapies helped you. I already go for acup. Tx.
