My DH and I have a failed frozen de cycle due to bad eggs. There is a chance we may get replacement eggs but in the meantime we are exploring using a fresh donor this time.
I just have a question for those that have had fresh donors. We have to use our clinic's in house donors (no funds for agencies) and the only ones they have are 28 and over. I think the one we want to use if she's available is 29. Would her age rule her out for you? She is a 4 time proven donor. Twice with my clinic and twice with another clinic. There is one other I am interested in and she is 28 a 2 time proven donor with 2 children too. Are these donors too old?? Can't believe that I will be 44 on Friday and asking if 28/29 is TOO old!! Ugh!!
Or should we opt for doing another frozen cycle with a proven (as a donor not just as a mother proven) donor?? We could possibly find a younger and proven donor from MEB.
The ages of the fresh donors worries me. Is this worry unfounded?
