Hello everyone! I suspect you ladies know more than my RE office especially since I sent the nurse an email with these questions several days ago with no response. I am trying to understand AMH level better and cannot find clear answer on the internet.
In January my AMA level was .67. The nurse told me AMH ranges from 0-7 and that is all she wrote. I am 43 turning 44 in September. Is this average for my age or low for my age?
How low is .67 really and what does that mean? I know this is a measure of ovarian reserve, but can someone elaborate? Is it a measure of egg quality as well? And my real question, is this an indicator or when I may be hitting menopause and how do you determine that. I have no idea when my mother hit menopause and I know there is a genetic component. I think she had a hysterectomy at 45 but I am not sure of that or of the exact reason she elected to do so. Thanks in advance!
