It’s been a tough road trying to have a baby. I can get pregnant naturally but can’t get past my first trimester. Husband and I are in great health. RE says it’s advanced maternal age/egg quality. After having a molar pregnancy, we decided to bypass my eggs and use Frozen DE. Our RE partners with Fairfax Egg bank and we have chosen a proven donor. We will start the process beginning of April 2014.
We are excited and nervous about Frozen DE IVF. Statistically speaking, it’s a better chance. Our RE is 3 for 3 ongoing pregnancies using the Fairfax Egg bank. RE said they only had two blastocyst to transfer, none to freeze, and only singleton pregnancies. Fairfax only guarantees one good egg to fertilize. If the DE IVF doesn’t work, we are out $17,500 and will be emotionally devastated.
I’m curious to know who else has used Frozen DE. Any experiences with Fairfax Egg Bank? How did the fertility drugs affect you? Any words of wisdom?
