Frozen Embryo Transfer

Hi all! I am newly remarried (2 years ago) and 44 years old. My husband and I have been TTC since our wedding day and have undergone 2 IUI s and 2 IVF Cycles, one ending in a miscarriage. Physically, I am in great shape and I always get great news about my eggs reserve, uterine lining and ability to ovulate. But, after the 2nd IVF resulted in a miscarriage, we finally had to come to terms with the fact that my eggs a just TOO old.

Ater much thought, and a LOT of financial shuffling,we've decided to go with a frozen egg donor though Pacific Fertility Center in SF. Transfer day is Sunday, which will be a day 5 transfer. As of today, (day 3), we have 5 grade 1 embryos and 1 grade 2 embryo. We are guessing we will have to freeze a few, because only one will be transferred. We are optimistic, because using an egg donor rather than my old eggs just increased our odds 61%, but we know anything can happen.

I am only worried about feeling any disconnect if I do become pregnant. Has anyone else become pregnant using an egg donor and felt this way? I have two beautiful girls from a previous marriage, and see myself in them all the time. Would that be gone? I can't imagine that I wouldn't feel the same closeness after carrying them for 9 months, but would love to hear from anyone who has been through the same....thanks!
