Hi, I am a bit worry after seeig my Dr. yesterday and finding out I might I have to have a C-section for this baby . I am so very grateful to have made it this far, but I was really hoping to be able to deliver naturally. According to my Dr., due to my age and hipertension issues (which are totally under control) this is something he wants me to consider. He also mentioned that women over 40 usually have a harder time pushing due to a cervix not being as ready as a 20 year old would...this delay would call for an induction and if the indection doesn't work than you can find yourself in having an emergency c-section anyways... I will him see him again next week and hopefully my cervix shows some sort of readiness and I will have a better chance at sticking to a natural birth. Have you ever been told this? Will a c-section affect my chances of getting pregnant again?
Thanks for any info you may have :)
p.s. I am 36 weeks pregnant with a baby boy and have a history of high blood pressure but it has always been controlled and has been really low since pregnancy.
