Hello.. my DH and I are seriously considering DE. After TTC for 6 months, we moved to a RE. After 14 months of TTC with IUI, a miscarriage and a chemical pregnacy; we are considering IVF with donor eggs.
I've never been diagnosed with DOR however my initial FSH was 14 and has hovered between 10 and 17. This past cycle it went up to 27. My RE says we can try IVF with my own eggs however it's a slim chance.
We're looking at using fresh eggs and have a potential contender. One of the donors looks a lot like me. I'm Mediterrean so the donor has a 100% lebanese mother.Her paternal grandfather is African American; however her paternal grandmother is Finnish and Irish. I was scared about a possible recessive gene and my DH seems to be ok it. Especially since she looks the most like me.
My cousin who is 38 just had a baby in November with donor eggs. As I see her with her daughters (she has a 4 year old conceived with own eggs), I see how much she loves them.
After going through 2 years of TTC hell, I'm so ready to be a mom. So I feel 90% ready.
