We had our NT scan last week. Everything looked great. The measurement needed to be less than 3mm and it was 1.3mm. I was very relieved. I expected everything to be good, but it is great to know that it is good! The blood work, the one where they prick your finger and drop blood on a card should be back early this week. If that is good too, the genetic counselor does not recommend Maternit21 and said the insurance will probably not pay for it since the donor is 26. We know that donors are screened before they are allowed to donate and we chose a donor with a clean family history, but in the back of my mind, I am still a little concerned. I would feel better if we went ahead with a little more testing since the blood work like Maternitt21 is noninvasive. We are keeping the baby even if something were to be wrong, but if there is a concern, I would rather know now so that we can be prepared. Am I overthinking this? Has anyone else had Maternit21 or a similar test done?
