Hi there!
I am 44 years old, I had my daughter naturally at 43yo. We had 2 miscarriages before she was conceived and 2 more after she was born. I really want to have another child, but I am too afraid to use my own eggs at this point. I would consider IVF with PGS but the success rates are fairly low and I just want to move on from the struggle of fertility in my 40's.
Can anyone share their journey using DE for their second (or third) children? I am wondering how the child will feel knowing that their sibling was conceived naturally? I think it is all in the way you present the information and after reading some of the posts on here, I feel like I have a better idea of how to explain it - both to myself and my children, but I would love to get the perspective of someone who is (or has) going through it.
Also, my clinic Conceptions Repro in Denver told me that if I used frozen eggs the embryos could not be refrozen, making me it more expensive if I don't get pregnant the first time. However from reading your posts, it sounds like embryos with frozen eggs can be refrozen, is that correct? I only want to put one in! If you can refreeze the embryos, it seems like frozen is the way to go...no synching...what are the downsides?
Thanks soo much for the advice! It is wonderful to read your stories!
