Hi ladies! I just wanted to share my story and hopefully give you some inspiration and hope!
From the moment I had my son in 2001 I learned what true love REALLY was... In that moment, my heart was also broken for those women who had ttc issues and I always knew I wanted to donate my eggs or be a surrogate. Anything to help other women realize the dream of what it was to be a mother. My now ex husband was against the idea, which I felt was selfish of him. I then also had a daughter in 2005. I finally ended that marriage in '08. After my life had settled down again I had the overwhelming feeling that I still really wanted to donate my eggs. I found a great agency in my area in '09. Literally within days I was contacted and had a few couples that were really interested! I was ecstatic! I knew I was doing the right thing. From '09 to '10 I did five cycles! Then in '10 I met an amazing man and wanted to take a break from ED for a bit because I knew I really wanted to have another blessing. I got remarried to an amazing new man in '11 and we had a son in '12. He was convinced he had only wanted one baby and I had the agency calling me again with another cycle. We spoke about it and agreed that of course I would do my 6th and final cycle. That was early 2013 and now here I am and DH and I are expecting another son this fall of 2014! I'm elated! My heart feels SO full that I have not only been able to make my family complete, but I've been able to help out 6 other different families from all different walks of life be able to realize their dreams of being a parent or parents. I almost wish there was more I could do but I think that's it! Unless a sibling cycle comes along I believe. Either way... I can't imagine the struggle it may've been for some couples to decide that's the route they wanted to go, but I'm SO happy to be a part of the whole process! I thank God always for all these little miracles!
