What would you do?

We went to a consult yesterday at a new clinic that has an in-house donor pool.

It was surprising to hear that we could practically pick anyone in their database, and they have frozen eggs as well. In other words we could start immediately.

At the consult, however, the RE offered us shared cycle with another couple (already committed, we would be the second couple). The donor he offered he called exceptional, meaning very good outcomes, high level of education, decent health history. He made it sound like we hit the jackpot, saying this donor had been vetted by one of the previous recipients to the Nth degree. My husband likes her. She has been screened for everything we need.

But she is only available for a late June transfer.

We've had a family reunion scheduled for the middle of July, involving a hot beach on the East Coast for two weeks. The travel would start two weeks after the first beta.

Would you wait that long for an exceptional donor?

Do you think that I could travel across the country to a fairly hot environment, so close to the transfer and still have a good outcome?

Thanks for your thoughts!
