We decided that the pandemic shouldn’t stop us from trying to have another child. I have a 10 year old almost 11 who we conceived naturally. I did have a miscarriage prior to her. Then after having her my husband lost his job and then when we we’re ready to try again I was pregnant naturally at 44. Miscarried and it was very traumatic and my dr wasn’t supportive at all. After she had been really supportive for me to try at my yearly appt that same year. Then fast forward we started at a fertility clinic bc we thought we could do ivf. The dr at the clinic convinced us that we should stick to Iui since I could get pregnant on my own and that it would work out. We trusted him and in March 2019 I did Iui got pregnant on the first try and then had another miscarriage which needed a dnc. I have negative blood which means rhogam shots and we went back to try again and the rhogam was still in my blood which meant trips to a hemotologist which wasted more time and in the end it was just the rhogam took longer to come out of my blood. We tried Iui again in December 2019 which didn’t work thankfully bc I ended up really sick who knows maybe it was covid bc I was sick for 6 weeks last winter. Then started back at a new fertility clinic in feb 2020 where we were going to try ivf with my own eggs then we stopped the process bc covid and the clinic is in nyc which we didn’t want to go near and we are in the suburbs and well things became really scary here and we stopped. Fast forward to today I just turned 47 last week and I’m ready to just have a baby. I had a physical in 2020 my dr said my health is fine. It’s my eggs I believe. We just would like a sibling and had a virtual consultation today with the fertility clinic from last year. Just would like some encouragement as we explore using for or eggs.
