Hi ladies. I am hoping there is someone with some knowledge or experience that could help me. My husband works for the State of Iowa and his insurance policy states that donor eggs and sperm are covered. I have verified this with three separate customer service reps. My fertility clinic doesn't file the claims because egg banks are out of network. The egg banks tell me that they don't take insurance. If my insurance offers coverage, but egg banks don't take the insurance, what do we do? We can't afford to pay for the frozen eggs and hope insurance will pay the egg banks back. Has anyone been in this situation? We agreed to move forward with donor eggs because they would be covered. I am at a loss
