Does donor egg qualify under the IVF tax deduction?

Hi there,

Now that it is tax time (ugh) we are trying to figure out how much to deduct from our DE IVF cycle.

I know that IVF qualifies as a tax deduction under medical expenses (exceeding 10% of your gross income).  Does anyone know if donor egg or the donor egg portion of it counts toward the deduction?

Has anyone filed for this in the past??
