It's been a long time since I posted on this board. I joined this board when we tried DE IVF a couple years ago in TTC #2. Long IF journey with both OE and DE IVF. Our 5 yo is a result of OE IVF and we tried unsuccessfully to have another child through FETs and additional fresh cycles before moving onto DE IVF. We used frozen eggs from a proven donor, which resulted in 2 blasts. The first SET didn't take. The second SET resulted in an early m/c despite a chromosomally normal embryo. After that, we stopped trying and I worked on come to terms with an only child. Fast forward a couple years and the desire to have another child remains. We just moved to a new city and are thinking of trying a different clinic with 70% DE success rates. I'm 44, soon to turn 45, so I contemplate whether or not another round of DE IVF is a good idea, especially given how much $ we've already spent on treatments. If we tried this again, I think we'd chose fresh DE to minimize the manipulation but we still might want to use PGS.
So for those of who who had DE failures and later went on to succeed, what made the difference for you? Any other tips?
