Does anyone have experience going through the donor egg process at Weill Cornell? I’ve been going through IVF treatment there for over a year and am moving on to donor eggs. I have been looking at donor banks online only to find out that Weill will only use its own donor eggs with its patients. I’ve received their information packet and the process and wait time for donor eggs seems terrible. And at the end of it all, they give only one donor option and it’s take it or leave it and if you leave it, you get sent to the end of the waiting list. I am having a hard time accepting that if I want to stay with the doctor who has treated me for over a year, I get one donor to choose from and that donor might be provided to me a year from now. Is this really how it works? Can anyone with experience getting donor eggs at Weill speak to this? Thanks.
