My DH & I have been trying to conceive our first child for several years. We went to an RE in August, had our first IVF in Oct (only 3 eggs & all abnormal), & had our second IVF in Dec. I got pregnant, transferred 2 healthy embies, & miscarried. I'm 37 & we've decided to move on to DE. I've been through a wide range of emotions. There are times that I feel I'm doing ok & other times that I'm in absolute dispare. My only Sister just had her 4th baby & I love each of them so much. I just want to be a Mom. After the first unsuccessful cycle, it helped me to move on to the next cycle emotionally. I and my DH can't go through the drugs and anticipation again of IVF. It has helped me some to start planning & selecting the donor. We've found one & will do it at the end of March. I feel like emotionally I'm still in so much turmoil from the miscarriage. It has only been a month & I'd hoped that by now it would be better. It's so hard because I feel that I have no one to talk to who can relate. I feel myself putting on a happy face, yet when I'm alone I'm devastated. Is this normal? Will this get better once the DE cycle is closer? I just need some hope & to know that it will get better.
