I just had to tell this to a group of ladies that could properly appreciate this.
My in laws know about the egg donor and have always been very supportive. They're very conservative, right wing, country livin' folk. Anyway, the other day I was with my in-laws and I noted that my kiddo doesn't like to eat meat much and I said it must be that hippie donor DNA coming out because the donor was a vegetarian. My mother in law got the most horrified look on her face at the word "vegetarian" and said "well we'll just have to not tell her THAT! It's nothing she needs to know!" Lol! As if having vegetarian DNA is the most disgraceful thing ever.
On a side note, it does make you wonder how much to tell our future/current kiddos. SHOULD I tell her about her vegetarian DNA? Does it matter? Is it interesting information or too much info? What type of info is good to share and what should we keep to ourselves? Things to ponder as we all go through this process
