Hi Everyone! After many months of soul searching, crying and reading these great posts, I've pretty much decided that egg donor is the best way for me to go. I've accepted that their won't be a biological link and I'm fine with this because I know I will love this child unconditionally. I'm even open to adoption as well but hear how long and difficult the process can be. I guess at this point my question is how this will affect the child. If it works and I am blessed with a child then I plan on telling them early. I can't help but wonder will they have issues with it when they get older? I know it is wrong but my other fear is that they will even tell other people. I plan on telling some (not all) family/friends. I don't mind the child letting people know when they are older and can understand it completely but I am concerned as a child that they will say something to another child who will make fun since they are too young to understand. I know I shouldn't be concerned about other people but it is just another thought in this long process. I was wondering if anyone has some great advice, words of wisdom or even some stories about how this might affect the child. Thanks to all. These posts have seriously helped me.
