We have been really soul searching and putting our list of priorities in order for what we'd like to find in a donor. I've been doing a lot of reading about things to consider, and have come across a few articles about how finding that a donor is a genetic carrier for a disease should not necessarily rule her out. The thinking seems to be that, basically all of us our carriers for some thing or another... but that as long as the other genetic contributor is not also a carrier for that same disease, it shouldn't be a problem.
Just wondering if anyone else found "their perfect donor" in all/most other aspects, then found that she was a carrier for something, and still went on ahead?
There is so much to think about in this process, and I appreciate this board, all of you, and your insights so much!
