Hi!
I'm new to the whole process of IVF with egg donor. We are currently planning a ED IVF cycle, but also need to be traveling for three weeks. So I wanted to ask how the cycle syncing works, so I can see whether we can start syncing before the trip and dive into the cycle when we get back.
1. Can either the donor and I start birth control pill at any point of our own cycles? As I understand, we both need to take birth control pills in order to sync the cycles. But, prior to that we will most likely be on different days of our own cycles. Is there any restrictions on when we could start BCP, or any time of the cycle is okay?
2. How long do we need to take the BCP for to sync?
3. Is the idea that the next AF will not arrive until we stop the BCP? And we will stop the BCP at the same time?
4. When we both stop the BCP, what happens if our AFs start at different times?
5. After our cycles are synced, what do I need to take to prepare the lining (pill or injection)?
6. Is it the case that I will not ovulate in the IVF cycle with DE?
These questions are probably really obvious. But, I really don't have any idea how syncing works. Thanks so much for anyone who can help answer them!!
