Hi ladies - so this (these) are our first blasts ever, we've only done 3 day transfers with OE or its been a morula. Even our first DE cycle went terrible and on day 5 there was only one morula to transfer (doing frozen DE).
So this weekend on our 2nd DE cycle we finally got our first blasts, still can't believe it. My question is do both of these look like high high quality blasts to you? To me the one on the right looks a little better. Our RE said they're both A+ blasts (which I know isn't the actual technical grade), and there were 2 more just as good quality they were freezing that day along with 4 morulas they were still watching with the embryologist saying he thought 2 more would make it to freeze.
The reason there are 2 in the pic is there was a note we wanted to transfer 2 if we had them, I was done playing games. First thing RE says when he walks in is so why are we transferring 2. Then the debate to transfer 1 or 2 ensued. Twins wasn't our goal I just wanted it to work finally period and transferring two obviously ups your odds of one taking. However he said with our embryos it's only a 5% chance more that it works over just transferring one, seems like it'd be higher doesn't it? He said if we transfer both of those embryos we're begging for twins. Something like that. So I conceded and they transferred the one on the right. Only reason I gave in is due to how adamant he was on the quality of them and knowing our luck I would have some kind of bad complication with a twin pregnancy.
Thoughts on them and our decision to just transfer the one?
