I'm in cycle transferring soon. I did one OE IVF with my daughter and am now trying for her sibling after two failed FETs (embryos from DD's cycle) and two natural MCs after my daughter was born. I'm also now 43 (daughter was born/conceived at 40) and no longer want to waste time/money on my eggs.
We paid $30,500 for shared risk where we get six cycles and as many FETs as embryos and a guarantee. If we don't get pregnant we get our money back.
Reading the success stories and knowing the pregnancy is not the issue it's my eggs, I'm wondering if we should have paid per cycle. I keep thinking if we have success after 1 cycle we will lose roughly $15k. Of course I want to have success the first try but I'm also kind of sick thinking about all that money we could be losing. Did we make the wrong choice? We were lured by the word "guarantee" and after our recent heartaches that sounded really good.
