Hi ladies
So after 2 DE transfers, both BFN, I have 2 frosties left.
One RE says she sees what looks like a hydrosalpinx in one of my tubes or both, can't tell with ultrasound. She wants to do HSG before my next transfer to see exactly what's going on and if it looks like fluid is backing into uterus then have lapro to remove tube.
I went for 2nd opinion. This RE says it's not a good idea to shoot dye in there and have x-ray done before a transfer. He said it can cause inflammation or residue.
He said he wants to do a sonohysterogram and will be able to see what's going on with the tubes. My understanding was that a sonohysterogram only shows the uterus.
He also said if there is a hydro and it doesn't look large or bad then he won't remove the tube.
Anyone had experience with any of these procedures before a transfer?
What was the outcome?
And how long after did you transfer?
This is my last shot. So I need to make sure I make the best decisions.
Thanks.
