I am finally settling on donor. It was hard to find since I was looking for a Jewish brunet. Ideally Israeli/middle eastern/local.. Finally…only one out of 48 agencies matched the criteria.
She is 31 (not very young..) proven donor 4 times donated last donation 4 month ago. There has been pregnancy on 2 and we don’t know the result from the other 2 since the clinics she did IVF don’t release that.
I have the following question:
1- Is it true that some clinic don’t release the donation results, or are they hiding the bad results?
2- What genetic tests did your donor do? Can you please list them? I am using an in-house donor with Santa Monica fertility and I want to make sure all tests are done and they are not cutting any edge.
3- The only information Santa Monica fertility is releasing to me is her psych report, genetic counseling, and genetic tests report. Anything else I should ask for?
4- I am sharing the cycle with clinics. It’s sort of expensive. $28,800 for 8 MATURE eggs, all inclusive beside MY med which is not much (out of this 28K, 10K is her fee). The cost includes freezing any extra embryo and 2nd transfer if I don’t get prg with 1st transfer and 1 year storage fee. and the clinic keeps the rest for the bank or if they find another couple sooner. I know its expensive for 8 eggs but on the upside if the cycle get canceled or anything goes wrong, donor backups, blah blah I pay NOTHING. I have been thru 7 own egg IVF and currently on anti-depressant so I feel like in house donor is easier on me emotionally (your thought??) both donor and clinics are local, 2 miles from office and I like the donor, really like her and feel connected.
What are your thoughts on getting only 8 eggs? I can purchase more but I have to pay more, 4 more mature eggs is another $14k ($42k for 12 eggs). this donor has made 20 mature egg in the past cycles in average.
the whole table of CDC came out messed up. basically about 70% preg rate and 60% live birth at the clinic out of 35 cycles on fresh
