Ladies, I would appreciate any thoughts you have to help hubby and I assess whether we should do a fresh split donor cycle or frozen? We are using FIRM in Jacksonville and reviewed the profiles last night. We have a top two in each category, but I was surprised to see that the frozen egg lots were 6 and 7 for our top choices, which I thought was a good number. The fresh donors were (1) top choice was 30 years old but her first cycle was 19 eggs, so a great production and (2) a proven donor that was 24 years old with 12 and 16 eggs/cycle. I would prefer frozen because there's no waiting for a shared partner or syncing, but hubby is concerned about the lower success rates of frozen. Do you ladies have any insight? Also, one of the frozen lots we like noted it was "slow freeze" - anyone know what that means?
I appreciate you sharing your wisdom! Thanks
