Hi ladies, I would be very grateful for your insight and opinions:
My husband and I have started the search for a donor and we came across one we really like and inquired at the agency here in CA. We spoke with a coordinator in person at the clinic who told us that donor would be available to do a fresh cycle Dec/Jan. Yesterday however, I received an email saying that another couple has inquired and whether we could commit. Also, the rate had gone up in the email from $6000 to $7500 although she isn't a pregnancy-proven donor. She did her first cycle in August, over 30 eggs were retrieved but all frozen
I immediately felt pressured. I imagined we would have a least a week if something like that came up.
At the same time I am thinking, can I even trust the agency that there is another couple? Are they trying to pressure us? We've both, my husband and I, are just so new to this and feel insecure. Have you made any similar experiences?
