Los Angeles Maternal Fetal Medicine for placenta previa

I just moved to Los Angeles a year ago would greatly appreciate your input if you know anything about Maternal medical care here.

My OB is about to get fired.

After a successful DE transfer, I'm 13 weeks pregnant.

I found out last Wednesday at my baby's nuchal translucency screening that while the baby is fine, I have placenta previa.

With placenta previa and my additional risk factors (advanced age, IVF, 1 prior C section) this gives me between 25-40 percent risk of placenta accreta (a disease that gives you a 90 percent chance of hemorrhage at birth and 7 percent risk of death.)

Ok, so my OB WILL NOT CALL ME BACK. I've left two days of messages. I need to know where to go to get this properly diagnosed ASAP and need to know the best places to get ultrasound diagnostics for this type of thing.

I'm guessing I also need an OB who is responsive and knowledgeable about high risk populations.

Can anyone who lives here tell me the best places for MFM? What about OB teams? I'd prefer OB practices with skilled surgical staff and a larger group so someone on call can answer a question if I need it.

I'm thinking Cedars Sinai and UCLA might have diagnostics. Any thoughts on that? What about OB teams?

I'm sorry of this is OT, but the risk of plcenta previa and the risk of placenta accreta is higher for the DE IVF population by virtue of our demographics. I never thought it would happen to me!

Feel free to PM me!
