Hello everyone.. Conflicted a little... After having 3 cysts after 3rd failed IUI two weeks ago and had to go on BCP's for two weeks... Meanwhile, DH and I decided to move on to donor IVF early January which is exciting...We met our Donor last night, she is just so sweet and hope it all works out! She is a a repeat donor and had great, positive results from her retrieval previously. Well, yesterday at my RE appt, we received news, all 3 cysts are gone and we can proceed with another round of IUI tomorrow (which is covered by insurance, whereas, IVF is not) and would be okay to do just in case it was negative to still proceed with DE IVF early January. On one thought, I've moved on to our journey for DE IVF, and do not want to get in the way of our scheduled IVF in Jan... My thought, the miscarriage rates in my age group, what if the blessing of getting a positive IUI outcome, but have a early on miscarriage and miss our dear donors opportunity time frame. On the other hand, we could be that 3% that gets a positive pregnancy... My thoughts are to do an IUI, what could it hurt and I will never know if we had not gave it a shot? On the other hand, it is good to give my body a rest, as I did have a CP on the 2nd IUI. I'm leaning to give my body the best chance for possible transfer early Jan of 2015, rather than what if on having a early miscarriage. Any success stories of a healthly pregnancy with an IUI try would be great to hear at 43 1/2 yrs... . We do realize it is a journey and what is meant to be will be! Thank you for listening!
