Nosey Insurance question

I'm just curious how many people have insurance coverage that actually covers infertility. I'm self employed and my very expensive shitty health insurance covered nothing. I even tried to buy better insurance that would cover partial and was told I was out of luck being a small business.


If your insurances covered infertility treatment, was it through a big employer?


I'm having insurance woes. My policy expires in December and our current plan is not being renewed. The new rates are almost $500 more a month. Our health insurance will now cost more than my mortgage. How messed up is that?


Please don't say try the AHA. There is nothing affordable about it if you're "in the middle" were not well off, but were also not poor, so we are the people that get screwed. We make too much for the subsidy (which I read were going away anyway) but not enough that we can afford their plans. They all had crazy deductibles too. Not to mention none of our doctors will take it.


Insurance stresses me out so much! We'll be paying off the loan for this baby for a long time. I'm so jealous of people that have good care! I wouldn't mind paying so much if our coverage was actually good.
