Hi again, I guess we are officially in the club!!! Iam excited but crazy nervous. Yesterday we reserved the donor. Lots has happened since my last post where I was complaining about the donor's agency owner being very rude...for a week and a half I decided to ignore the donor agency and clearly told them via email that we would revisit working with them in october (just said that, in case we needed to work in them in the future and not burn bridges) however, what I was truly doing was looking for other donors at other agencies. However, I didnt find anyone I liked as much...
But as fate would have it, the mentioned owner called me and asked me (very nicely) why I had lost interest in the donor. I was honest and told her that it wasnt the donor...that it was her whom had been very rude to me and that had turned us off for obvious reasons...to make the story short, she apologized like 20 times and asked us to reconsider.
That was last weekend and after many prayers and knowing that I really liked this donor, we went ahead and reserved her. I know we are taking a big gamble but she seem sincered and I do have many good references from her agency. She is known in Texas for having the best donors and has a reputation. However, I do believe, she is one of those people's that perhaps has have been in the business for too long and has become insensive...I am glad I got to remind her how women in our situation should be treated.
Since our conversation, she has been very attentive and nice. I just hope and pray her niceness continues. At the same token, it did helped to know that all updates and info I would get from the Drs. office not her...
Anyhow, sorry for the lost post. Please please if you don't mind give me an estimate of how long this whole thing takes...I have the following concerns:
1) How many times I would have to see the dr? I have limited days off and want use them wisely.
2) What are PIO shots?
3) Currently my Dr. has me on a treament to build my lining and provoque a period, because it has not come for almost 3 months.(I haven't told him we deicided to reserve the donor yet) Will it be best to start treament after I get the period? and build lining again? how long those take?
4) Will the Dr. be able to tell if she has quantity of eggs in her first screening? I will be bringing her from OK to TX so I want to have as much info since she is a first timer (her AMH is 3.5)
Anyhow, I guess I am starting to freak out but one thing for sure is that we want to do this before the end of the year.
Thanks for all of the support and advice you guys can give me. I know I will need it.
